We are ambitious for our children, young people and families, and we have high expectations for our workforce. We are developing and expanding our Workforce Development service and the Practice Educator and Development Lead Officer role will contribute to creating the conditions for social work to thrive and take a lead role for practice development.   

Your Role

We are seeking a qualified Social Worker who is passionate about the professional development of our Children's Social Care Workforce. 

As a Practice Educator and Development Lead Officer in North East Lincolnshire Council’s Children’s Services, you will work as part of a team and contribute to the development and delivery of the Children’s Services Workforce Strategy and take a lead role in co-ordinating practice educators across the scope of children’s social care.

You will take a lead role in managing the practice educator functions to ensure good quality placements for social work students, including responsibility for overseeing, coordinating and supporting practice educators across children’s social care, whilst acting as a point of contact and additional practice education resource.  

What will my day look like?

Working collaboratively, you will take a lead role in managing the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment scheme and be responsible for supporting consistent standards and learning. 

You will be part of the Workforce Development service whose work is highly valued and supported by skilled, knowledgeable and caring leaders and managers.

Please note: In order to be considered for this role, you must be Social work qualified and registered with Social Work England and able to provide evidence of continuous professional development.
