About the Role

The ICT Principal SystemsAnalyst will be the subject matter expert on the Children's Social Care and Early Help Applications.They will be aware of and will contribute to Application roadmap developments, keep abreast of legislative changes and customer priorities, and advise on best practice use and development of the Social Care and Early Help Applications.

The role will require the development of close working relationships with other teams in IT– primarily but not exclusively CustomerSupport, Solutions Delivery, Customer Engagement and IT Infrastructure, as well as the customer base, for this role being Children’s Social Care and Early Help.The postholder will be highly organised, adept at troubleshooting, customer focussed and have acommitment to personal and staff development.

You will

  • ProvideITtechnicaland operationalsupport for Line of Business Applications withinIT Services
  • Actasasubject matter expert on smallto mediumBusiness As Usual changes and design and implementsolutions according to businessrequirements
  • Proactively monitor andmaintain the existing ITassets andidentify and carry out performancetuning andserviceimprovements asagreed withthe ITManagement Team
  • Contributeto process and procedure development withinITOperations and IT Applications and SystemsSupport whenrequiredto doso as part oftheimplementation of ITIL best practice
  • Keep abreast of operational and statutory changes and the potential impact on the use of Line of Business Applications
  • Ensure Line of Business Applications are on asupported version by managing and overseeing Application upgrades
  • EnsurethattheITChangeManagementProcess is followedcorrectly and appropriately whencarrying outBusiness as Usual changes onLine of Business Applications
  • Contributeto Operating Level Agreements(OLAs) thatregulate the work of IT BusinessDeliveryinpursuit of OCC corporate Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Ensurethat operationsreflect ITIL bestpractice and withtheinterests of customers paramount
  • Provide technical skills andoperationalknowledge whenresolvingincident and problemcalls related to Line of Business Applications, and Liaising with 3rd party suppliers in incident resolution
  • Provide 2ndand 3rdline operational and technicalsupport for OCC Line of Business Applications
  • Ensurethatcustomers areregularlyconsultedso that their needs and preferences areaccuratelyidentified
  • To represent IT at both internal and external events, including Application national and regional user groups, and offer advice and guidance on the use and capabilities of current Line of Business Applications
