School Administrator
Grade 5, £26,403- £28,598 (Pro Rata)
Permanent- Full Time- 37 hours per week.
Required to start 1st September 2026, pending DBS clearance.
 
The Governing Board of Rosemary Lane Nursery School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated, skilled and caring school administrator to join our outstanding Nursery School.
 
We are a warm and caring school located in a semi-rural village. We have a strong team of dedicated practitioners who work with children in our unique and well-resourced indoor and outdoor nursery environment.
 
The successful candidate should:
Be experienced in working in school administration
Have excellent IT skills including Word and Excel
Be able to organise and prioritise tasks
Have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to relate to a broad variety of people
Have experience of supporting pupils and families with pastoral concerns
Be able to work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining quality standards
Be kind, caring and welcoming. 
 
To Assist with management of the school’s administrative, financial, technical and clerical support services.
 
Experience of school systems such as SIMS, Oracle, Office 365 and Synergy are essential for the post holder.
 
Responsible to the Head Teacher and other members of the leadership team. Assist in controlling, monitoring, of financial budgets. Customer Service, ensure hospitality is provided when required, while welcoming prospective parents and visitors.
 
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

Standard term time only pay is calculated on the basis of the following:
• Number of ‘teaching’ weeks – 38 weeks; plus
• Public (bank) holidays – 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus
• Individual leave entitlement - 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days)
Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 32 days annual leave. For example:
 
Calculation for employees with less than 5 years’ service:
38 weeks (term time) + 27 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 45 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
 
Calculation for employees with more than 5 years’ service:
38 weeks (term time) + 32 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 46 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
