School Chaplain
Part Time, 14 hours per week, term time only
Grade 5: £26,403 - £28,598 pro rata

St. Anne’s C of E Primary and Nursery is seeking to appoint a School Chaplain to nurture faith in our school community and ensure our Christian vision and values permeates all aspects of school life.
This is a part time post, working 14 hours per week. There is scope to negotiate a working pattern within the school week.
Candidates should be highly motivated, with a desire to ensure that all pupils succeed in a caring and Christian environment.
St. Anne’s C of E Primary and Nursery is a warm and happy school, where staff pride themselves on maintaining high standards of care, achievement and progress for all our pupils.
We require a Chaplain who:
• Can organise and lead collective worship
• Will further develop opportunities for spirituality in school
• Works closely with the parish and the wider community.
• Will link with the diocese
• Offers pastoral support to pupils and their families
• Develops and maintains pupil voice opportunities

Standard term time only pay is calculated on the basis of the following:
• Number of ‘teaching’ weeks – 38 weeks; plus
• Public (bank) holidays – 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus
• Individual leave entitlement - 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days)
Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 32 days annual leave. For example:
Calculation for employees with less than 5 years’ service:
38 weeks (term time) + 27 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 45 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
Calculation for employees with more than 5 years’ service:
38 weeks (term time) + 32 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 46 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.
