We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Social Worker to join our Mental Wellbeing Service!

This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a competitive salary of £47,831 - £52,414 per annum (dependent on experience), plus an annual retention bonus of £3,000 subject to eligibility.

The role:

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality adult social care services while supporting the development of others within the team.

You will manage a complex caseload, provide professional leadership, and contribute to embedding strengths-based practice across the service. You will also support colleagues through supervision and informal coaching, helping to build confidence and capability within a developing team.

Your role will involve:

  • Managing a caseload of complex assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and care planning in line with the Care Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Supporting and supervising colleagues, including offering guidance on complex casework and decision-making.
  • Leading and contributing to multi-agency meetings, including safeguarding, best interest, and risk management forums.
  • Promoting and embedding a strengths-based, person-centred approach to practice.
  • Contributing to service development, performance, and continuous improvement within a newly re-integrated team.

What we are looking for:

  • A qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in adult social care, including complex case management.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Experience of supporting others, supervision, or informal mentoring within a team.
  • A commitment to strengths-based practice, with the ability to work collaboratively with individuals, families, and partner agencies.
  • A commitment to PEPS - AMHP- BIA.
