Marketing Sheffield are looking for a digital content professional to help make more great social and web content.           

As a small but really effective team, their responsibility is destination management and to look after the place brand and promotion of the city. This involves promoting Sheffield externally (i.e. outside of the city) to audiences across Trade (Business), Talent (attraction, retention and development), and Tourism (business and leisure visitors).          

The team have built a really strong following, quadrupled web traffic, won national awards - and developed great partnerships along the way with both local stakeholders and national tourism bodies. They are looking for an individual who will be confident with partnership working, creative ideas, passion for the city, and the ability to be self-driven and learn on the go. Key requirements for the role are:           

• A broad understanding and demonstrable experience of using key social media platforms such Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Threads and YouTube.
• Experience of curating social media posts on behalf of a large organisation or business, with ability to adapt communication to suit different audiences. 
• Experience of creating visually appealing content, including mobile generated video and in-app editing.
• Experience of using CMS (content management systems) for websites.
• Copy writing and proofing skills, in particular for digital platforms, including website, social media and e-newsletters.
• Excellent customer service approach to working, whether communicating with key stakeholders or engaging with public on social.
• Enthusiasm for finding new ways to promote Sheffield, with a keen eye for trending topics and newsworthy opportunities.
• Basic understanding of social media and website analytics and reporting.
