We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Strategic Lead with significant experience in community services to join the Safe and Strong Communities team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a number of areas, which actively contribute to the delivery of the Council’s priority of confident, empowered and resilient communities. As Strategic Lead the postholder will lead on the following:

  • Community Power programme
  • Inclusion and diversity
  • Poverty alleviation
  • Grants programmes

This cross-cutting role will work closely with elected members, the voluntary, community faith and social enterprise sector, communities and wider partners at local and strategic levels.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of working in and engaging with communities, working in partnership, building and developing networks and leading change.
