Highfield School is an 11-19 secondary school for pupils with severe learning difficulties.   Our pupils have a wide range of additional needs including speech, language and communication difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions, more complex learning needs, physical disabilities and a number have rare genetic disorders.  Our school is a popular and oversubscribed. Pupils benefit from our highly specialised teaching, outstanding pastoral care and the wide range of specialist support services and interventions we provide through our personalised programmes.

Due to our growing school, Highfield is looking to recruit a number of full time teaching assistants for September 2024 (part-time would be considered for applicants looking to job share with the right experience of SEND).  Ideally, you will have a good understanding of our pupils' special educational needs and/or prior experience of working in education.
