If you have experience in talking to clients in a clear and precise manner and have sound people skills with a good knowledge of IT systems, then we’d like to hear from you.

You’ll be required to work as part of a small dynamic team of co-ordinators within the Heating, Mechanical and Electrical departments for Sheffield City Council. This will involve the planning and organising of jobs for tenants’ properties and communal areas within the council’s housing stock.

The role is full time based in our Manor Lane depot offices and covers a 37-hour working week Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am – 6pm, with a little flexibility. We offer a great paid annual leave allowance of 26 days moving to 31 days after 5 years’ service, and the opportunity to join a generous pension scheme.

This job opportunity is a great introduction to the benefits of working for a large and diverse local authority employer with all the options of further career progression that comes with it.

We are committed to fairness and social justice and welcome applications from everyone. We value our diverse workforce and aim to work together to make the most of our differences. Under the Disability Confident Scheme, disabled applicants, who meet the essential criteria of this job, are guaranteed an interview.

We particularly welcome applications from women, black and minority ethnic people and from young people as they are under-represented in this service.

We are investing in our workforce and are promoting opportunities to our under-represented groups.  We value equality, diversity and inclusion and are focused on increasing the diversity of our workforce, particularly the number of Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, Disabled and LGBTQ+ people, so that our teams reflect the communities in the city we serve. We are also supporting staff with unpaid caring responsibilities to work flexibly.

It is a great time to join us and we welcome your application.

Under the Disability Confident Scheme, disabled applicants, who meet the essential criteria of this job, are guaranteed an interview.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
