Applications are invited for the post of Trainee Solicitor principally within the Council’s in-house Adult Social Care Legal Team
You will assist and work under supervision for providing advice in matters arising principally under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Mental Health Act 1983.
This will include legal representation in the Court of Protection and County Court.
You will assist and work under supervision on cases in the High Court in matters arising in that court’s Inherent Jurisdiction, such as applications for the protection of vulnerable adults and the deprivation of liberty of children and young people.
You will be working in a supportive and dynamic team with a passion for delivering a quality legal service.
You will be a highly motivated, driven individual with the ability to work under pressure. The work is highly varied and intellectually demanding. In return, the Council will support your development with relevant training and supervision.
