Build a Healthier, Fairer Merton.
There has never been a more exciting time to join Merton Council. With ambitious political and officer leadership, a clear vision and a transformative agenda, Merton is a borough on the rise.
We are seeking an exceptional public health leader to join our senior leadership team. As Director of Public Health & Community Wellbeing, you’ll provide strategic leadership across the Council and wider health and care system, ensuring prevention, population health and reducing inequalities remain at the heart of decision making.
Working closely with NHS partners, primary care, the voluntary sector and local communities, you’ll influence policy, strategy and investment across housing, education, regeneration, transport, employment and community safety.
This is a high-profile opportunity to shape the future of public health in a financially stable and ambitious borough. You’ll drive Merton’s prevention agenda, strengthen system partnerships, help shape future commissioning arrangements and play a key role in delivering the Borough of Sport vision. With influence across both the Council and South West London health system, you’ll have the platform to make a lasting impact.
As the statutory Director of Public Health & Community Wellbeing, you must meet all legislative requirements and be included on the GMC Full and Specialist Register with a licence to practise.
